Dr. John Connaughton, the Babson Capital professor of financial economics in the Belk College of Business, will present his quarterly forecast for the North Carolina economy at a luncheon followed by a press conference Tuesday, March 13 at the UNC Charlotte's Center City campus (320 East 9th St.). Box lunches will be served starting at 11:30 a.m. and Dr. Connaughton's presentation begins at noon.

Dr. Connaughton is a highly-regarded expert on regional economics and has closely monitored the N.C. economy for more than 20 years. His quarterly report addresses areas of optimism and concern among the state's economic sectors, considers national and global factors affecting the state economy and forecasts future performance.

The forecast presentation is free and open to the public, but reservations are required and space is limited.
