The Dean’s Fellows program is an initiative created to increase engagement between current students and the Dean, the Charlotte community, and alumni. This program is designed to foster the development of high achieving students through their involvement in special projects with the Belk College. Dean's Fellows are selected through a competitive application process.
Each class of Dean's Fellows is selected for their motivation, enthusiasm, academic performance and work experience, and for their commitment to the Belk College. This special distinction serves several purposes: to signal the professional qualities of excellence that the Belk College cultivates and honors, to reward outstanding performance by students, and to create a prestigious group of high-quality students and alumni to showcase to the outside world.
Dean's Fellows work with the Belk College External Relations team on strategic initiatives, including:
Dean's Fellows appointments are typically for one year, with the expectation of renewal for a second appointment contingent upon satisfactory performance in the program.

The Belk College will not be recruiting new Dean’s Fellows for the 2012-13 academic year as we undertake a strategic evaluation of leadership opportunities available to undergraduate business students. Current Dean's Fellows will be eligible for reappointment for 2012-13, contingent on satisfactory participation in the program.
