Dan Hawkins consults and advises senior leaders in a variety of industries. Prior to Summit, he was a chief human resources and talent executive and held other global roles in several successful companies. Dan has deep expertise in strategy, leadership and organization development.
Dan’s corporate experiences include well-known companies such Asurion, Ingersoll Rand, MagneTek and Hoechst Celanese. He spent 15 years of his career at Ingersoll Rand, which has been recognized by Workforce Magazine as a ‘Top Performing HR Organization’ and a ‘Best Companies for Leaders’ by Chief Executive Magazine. Additionally, Dan has significant global experience and has coached senior level leaders and organizations in most regions of the world. He has worked in the public and private arena, including Private Equity. His industry experience includes electronics, chemicals, technology, consumer products, retail, industrial, and financial services.
Dan has also served on various boards for profit and nonprofit organizations. He has authored and presented numerous topics on leadership, organization change, strategy, leading in global contexts and strategic talent management. Dan holds a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Management from Clemson University and a master’s degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology from University of North Carolina, Charlotte. Dan has also completed post-graduate studies in Executive Coaching. He is a Board Certified Executive Coach (BCC). Dan is certified in numerous of individual and organization assessment tools.
