Julie Harris is the CFO of Global Commercial Banking at Bank of America. Her current responsibilities include leading the finance teams for Middle Market Banking, Bank of America Business Capital, Specialized Industries and Commercial Real Estate Banking as well as the Incentives and Goals team across Global Commercial Banking.
Julie joined Bank of America in 2000 as a Finance MAP associate. She was promoted to VP, Manager during the Fleet Transition in 2004 and then to SVP, Senior Finance Manager in Consumer finance support in 2006, where she managed deposit pricing, balance sheet and segment strategy.
Julie joined Treasury Finance in Q4 2008 to redesign Funds Transfer Pricing with the intent to revisit the methodology across the entire balance sheet, including MER transition support for Global Markets FTP, make the process/methodology more nimble and responsive to market conditions and create governance to support and educate the business on the drivers behind these changes.
In 2010, Julie gained additional responsibilities, including all of treasury finance support for funding, liquidity risk and capital and in 2011, gained additional responsibilities as the Controller for Corporate Treasury/Corporate Investments Group. In 2013, Julie was asked to become the CFO for the Global Commercial Bank finance team, joining the Global Banking and Markets finance leadership team.
Julie graduated from UNC Charlotte where she majored in Finance with a specific concentration in Financial Analysis and Accounting.
Julie is actively involved in the community with fundraising efforts for the Levine Children’s Hospital and the Wings Scholarship program of the Women Executives, Charlotte chapter. In 2011 and 2012, Julie was an ambassador for the United Way Bank of America campaign for the CFO group. Julie is also the CAO lead for the CFO Learning Council and the Charlotte chapter vice-chair of Diversity and Inclusion.
She currently lives in Charlotte with her husband, Craig, and two kids, Nicolas (7) and Sophia (5).
