Kelly McPhilliamy is a managing director and co-head of Consumer Investment Banking within the Consumer, Healthcare, and Gaming group at Wells Fargo Securities. Kelly has nearly 20 years of experience providing strategic and financial advice to entrepreneurs, public and private companies, and private equity firms regarding mergers and acquisitions, capital structure, and capital raising.
Her notable transactions include advising Dermstore on its sale to Target, Beauty Brands on its sale to TSG Consumer, and Perfumania on the acquisition of Parlux. Her lead-managed financings include the initial public offerings of Coty and Ulta Beauty, as well as numerous debt financings for major consumer products and specialty retail companies such as Clorox, Colgate-Palmolive, Elizabeth Arden, Mattel, Newell Rubbermaid, Pool Corp., Revlon, Spectrum Brands and Spencer Spirit.
Prior to joining Wells Fargo in 2003, Kelly spent six years in Morgan Stanley's Global Retail group and Merrill Lynch’s Financial Sponsors group.
Kelly earned a B.A. in business administration from the UNC Charlotte, and an M.B.A. from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
In 2015, she was named by Women’s Wear Daily as one of “Beauty’s 50 Most Powerful Women.”
In 2017, she was named by the Charlotte Business Journal as one of the one of the 2017 Charlotte Business Journal Women in Business award recipients.
Kelly serves on the boards of the Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte, Cosmetic Executive Women, and the National Mother’s Day Council.
