A retired Prosthodontist, Robert Rucho received his B. A. from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) from the Medical College of Virginia and a Specialty in Prosthodontics from the Boston University School of Graduate Dentistry. Dr. Rucho earned a Masters of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Dr. Rucho currently serves as a Senator in the North Carolina State Senate. He has previously served in the General Assembly of North Carolina, representing the 39th District and held elected positions on the Matthews Town Board, the Mecklenburg County Board of Commissioners and the North Carolina Senate. He was named one of the Ten Outstanding Young Men from the Charlotte Jaycees and was awarded the International College of Dentists Outstanding Achievement Award. Dr. Rucho and his wife, Theresa, have two sons, Robby and Ross.
