Dr. Roland is a Clinical Professor of Accounting in the Turner School of Accountancy in the Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte. She originally joined the Belk College of Business faculty in 2012 and returned to UNC Charlotte in 2023. Before entering the doctoral program at the University of Colorado, she worked in public accounting in Santa Fe, New Mexico. She is a licensed CPA in both New Mexico and North Carolina. Her main research interests are financial intermediaries and the impact of regulation. Her research has been published in the Journal of Business Finance and Accounting, Accounting Horizons, and Accounting and Finance.
