Enjoy lunch and a Belk College update with fellow alumni at Duke Energy
The UNC Charlotte Belk College of Business invited alumni working at Duke Energy to join us for lunch onsite in the Duke Energy Center on Tuesday, May 2. The event was sponsored by Belk College Board of Advisors member Brian Savoy, SVP Business Transformation & Technology, and alumnus Myron Caldwell '81 Accounting, SVP Financial Planning & Analysis, retired. Over 40 alumni attended this special opportunity to meet and network with fellow alumni, as well as learn about ways to reconnect and engage with the Belk College of Business. Dean Steven Ott shared an update on major initiatives such as the Turner School of Accountancy, the Women in Business Initiative, the Belk Scholars Program and the University's "Exponential" Campaign. There were also door prize winners and a special challenge from Myron Caldwell '81 Accounting to Duke Energy alumni employees to raise a compbined total of $50,000 (over five years) for the Turner School of Accountancy campaign.
With your help, we are growing the power of the alumni network. Please let us know if you would like to host an alumni reception onsite at your company.
