What is your favorite class that you have taken and why?
C programming because it challenged me and allowed me to learn a new useful skill.

Share three random things about yourself.
I am left handed, I have a 6-month-old puppy, and I have never been to the west coast.​

Dalton Pearman is in the prestigious Belk Scholars Program, in which he will receive a bachelor's degree and master's degree in five years with specialization and training in business analytics.
What major(s) are you pursuing and why?

I am pursuing a B.S. in Business Administration degree with a concentration in Business Analytics and a minor in mathematics. I decided on this major because I want to combine my love for finance with advanced technical skills.

Why did you choose the Belk College of Business?

I decided on the Belk College of Business because of the robust and engaging alumni network that helps students seize all opportunities in this growing and exceptional city.

What activities are you involved in when not working/studying?

I am a sophomore representative for the Business Honors Program but also involved in the stock market club and the sports analytics club.

What has been the best part of your academic experience so far?

The greatest aspect of my academic experience has been my exposure to alumni and the ability to be engaged with the city. This has allowed me to create new connections and start my career.

How would you describe the Belk College of Business to someone who is thinking about applying?

The Belk College of Business is like a small town. You begin connecting with all the professors and creating lifelong relationships with your classmates who help make it feel like home.

If you have received a scholarship or financial aid, how has that helped you?

Being a Belk Scholar has allowed me to explore a new and exciting field while alleviating a lot of the financial burden.
