The Master of Science degree program in Economics features a curriculum that is flexible yet thorough in its approach to theoretical training and applied course work. This program offers concentrations in Economics and in Finance.
Students completing this program are prepared for analytical and management positions that require the integration of economic analysis and advanced quantitative methods.
Employment opportunities for economists with a master’s degree exist in both the public and private sectors. In addition, students with a master’s degree may choose to pursue additional graduate education leading to a doctoral degree in Economics or in Finance.
Dual-Degree Economics Program - Copenhagen, Denmark
The Belk College of Business and the Copenhagen Business School in Copenhagen are collaborating on an exciting dual master's-degree program in economics. Graduates of the program will receive both an M.S. in Economics with an Economics/Finance concentration from UNC Charlotte and an MSc in Economics and Business Administration, specializing in Applied Economics and Finance from Copenhagen Business School. Students will spend one academic year in each location.
