Academic Advising
Earning a degree can be the most exciting and challenging time in a student’s life. The Belk College Advising Center is dedicated to helping undergraduate students discover, plan, and achieve their academic goals, all while learning to become 21st century business leaders.
As professional Academic Advisors, we are committed to providing accurate information while upholding University and Belk College standards. We empower students to take initiative and responsibility for their own success by sharing academic expectations and requirements. We strive to create a professional and respectful environment that reflects an appreciation for students from all backgrounds.
Scheduling Advising Appointments
The Belk College Advising Center provides centralized academic advising services for all undergraduate business students, freshman through senior year.
Note: Graduate students should contact their Graduate Program Director for academic advising.
Upon admission to UNC Charlotte, students are assigned an Academic Advisor based on the first letter of their last name. Click here to view a list of Academic Advisors.
Students may schedule an advising appointment by:
- Logging into the 49er Express/Niner Advisor online scheduling tool
- Visiting the Business Advising Center, located in Friday 368
- Calling the Business Advising Center Reception line, 704-687-7585
- Sending an email to stadvise@uncc.edu
Advising appointments may be scheduled 24 hours in advance, Monday – Friday from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.
Tips for a Successful Advising Appointment
- Arrive on time. Late arrival (5 minutes or more) to an appointment will require rescheduling.
Remember to bring:
- UNC Charlotte ID Card
- Questions or concerns for your Academic Advisor
- SOAR notebook with updated curriculum guide
- Other relevant University documents
