Instructions for Students

Students interested in completing a Marketing Internship for credit should:

1. ensure that all eligibility requirements are met (details below);
2. review the internship listing on this page;
3. select internships of interest;
4. contact those companies directly to apply for the respective internships offered (Most listings include the name and contact details for the person managing the internship.) 

Students may also arrange their own internships with companies not listed here; however, the Department of Marketing must approve the internship. Students should contact Mrs. Tamara Cohen or Missy Mauger before arranging interviews with prospective employers to ensure that the internship meets the requirements.

Eligibility Requirements

• Marketing major
• Junior or Senior status
• GPA of 2.5 or higher
• Completion of at least two (2) marketing electives with a grade of C or higher (excluding Marketing 3110) 
• Approval of all internship documents

Internship application forms & instructions

The following forms must be completed for approval by the Department of Marketing, and in order to receive credit for the internship. Please submit all forms to Missy Mauger.

• 1-Internship Instructions  This form shows how to construct a Marketing Internship Proposal (step 4).
   
• 2-Internship Application   Applications MUST be typed. This form must be completed and approved before the internship may begin. Plese submit the completed form in person.
   
• 3-Agreement Form  This form must be signed by you and your supervisor during the first week of employment.
   
• 4-Hour Verification  You are required to complete 150 hours of work to receive credit for your internship. Please use this form to track your time.
   
• 5-Student Evaluation  This form must be typed. It is to be submitted once you have completed your internship and hours.
