The Belk College of Business hosted a networking reception for alumni of the Risk Management and Insurance program on Wednesday, November 4 at Red Rocks Cafe in Southpark. Over eighty alumni attended the event to reconnect with classmates, program director Tom Marshall, faculty member Dr. Faith Neale and Dean Steven Ott. Guests enjoyed networking, an update on the Belk College from Dean Ott and special remarks from Belk College alumnus Walter Putnam '79, Wealth Management Advisor for Northwestern Mutual.
Alumni reminisced about trips to Lloyds of London, case study competitions and conferences, and enjoyed networking with industry partners. All guests were invited to join fellow alumni at the next Belk College Alumni Coffee and consider supporting the Tom Marshall scholarship fund or Risk Management and Insurance program by contacting Leadership Gift Officer, Portia Brown. Alumni relations manager Kinsey Sheehan can also share more information about the Alumni Council and upcoming programs and events.
