The Belk College of Business and Gamma Iota Sigma invited alumni of the Risk Management and Insurance program as well as those working in the industry to join us for a networking reception on Tuesday, May 16, 2017. This was a special opportunity for Belk College RMI alumni to reconnect with fellow alumni working in the industry as well as RMI faculty, department chairs and members of the Belk College Alumni Council.
The reception was hosted at the picturesque Harris Alumni Center at Johnsons Glen on the main UNC Charlotte campus and alumni enjoyed an update on the Risk Management and Insurance Program students, scholarships, curriculum and travel from faculty members Tom Marshall and Faith Neale. Alumni Council member and RMI alumna Amanda Self '07 shared information on upcoming alumni programming, and Leadership Gift Officer Portia Brown gave an update on the University's Exponential fundraising campaign. Alumni interested in staying involved with the RMI program and Belk College are encouraged to attend upcoming Alumni Coffees and/or make a gift to the scholarship fund named in honor of Tom Marshall.
