Claudio Carpano, Ph.D, is Associate Professor Emeritus in the Belk College of Business at The University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he was the Director of International Business Graduate Programs and taught international and strategic management. He currently teaches M.B.A. international business courses at the University of South Carolina and at LUISS University in Italy. He has delivered executive seminars and lectured at a variety of universities, including Bocconi, the University of Torino, University of Ancona (all in Italy), EGADE - Monterrey Tec (Mexico), Universidad de Desarrollo (Chile), and QUT (Australia). Dr. Carpano’s research on the topics of international business strategy, organizational structure, and foreign direct investment has been published in several leading academic journals, including The Journal of International Business Studies and the Journal of Business Ethics. In addition, his articles have been published in Italy by QualeImpresa, L’Imprenditore (journals published by the CONFINDUSTRIA – the Association of Italian Industrialists) and Tempo Economico. He is the founder and President of Management inSites (MI), an international management consulting firm that has been operating in Charlotte, North Carolina since 2000. He also serves as CEO of RAASM USA, an equipment production supply company based in Charlotte. Dr. Carpano holds a Ph.D. from the University of South Carolina and a Doctor of Pedagogy from the University of Rome “La Sapienza”.
