David Schimizzi has been teaching courses at UNC-Charlotte since 2018 on a part time basis. His work history includes economic research for corporate functions within large financial institutions. This has included creating stress test scenarios using applied econometrics as well as helping to explain data released by government agencies and nongovernment organizations to internal audiences within those financial institutions. He has also provided corporate learning opportunities for internal as well as external audiences in his various roles on topics ranging from mapping the financial system, central banks & monetary policy, understanding economic data, and various topics pertaining to financial derivatives products. David Schimizzi is also a CFA Charterholder.
