Luis García-Calderón Díaz

Dr. Luis Garcia-Calderon teaches and does research at EGADE Business School ITESM in the area of Strategies for International Competitiveness of firms in emerging nations, Business and Global Strategy, Complexity Theory and Innovation in Services. He has taught course and published papers in the fields of Strategy Management, Strategic Alliances, and Organizational Theory. Has been Director of the Research Chair in “International Competitiveness and Development” and of the Global e-Management Masters program both at EGADE Business School, as of the Graduate MBA program at the Virtual University of Monterrey Tech. Has published two books about International Competitiveness of Mexico and several book chapters. Has also organized and participated in diverse Forums on International Competitiveness within ITESM and other institutions like the Secretariat of Economic Development of the State of Nuevo León. He has more than 20 years of executive experience in the area of information systems within Mexican private corporations and U.S. multinational corporations, as well in consulting for private and public companies. He has been a university professor for more than 40 years.
