Steven Kanczewski

Steven Kanczewski is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) licensed in the state of North Carolina. He joined the Belk College faculty in Fall 2018 on a part-time basis and was elevated to a full-time role in Fall 2023. From 2014-2023, Steven’s career in Corporate America included Assurance at PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC); Advisory at Dixon Hughes Goodman (DHG) / FORVIS; and Project/Change Management at Bank of America Corporation (BAC).

Steven is excited to teach ACCT 2121: Principles of Accounting I, as well as ACCT 3300: Professional Development for Accountants. He is passionate about early talent development and career readiness and is committed to connecting Belk College students with working professionals through various channels (e.g., through the “Interview a Professional” project in ACCT 2121 and as Faculty Advisor to the Future Leaders of Accounting (FLA)).

Steven speaks English (native), Spanish (near-native fluency), and Portuguese (intermediate proficiency). Known for his sharp global acumen, Steven cites formative experiences in Spain (2010), Chile (2012), Brazil (2015), Luxembourg (2016), and Costa Rica (2021).
