SCOTT CASE '00, CHIEF INFORMATION OFFICER OF TRUIST

Scott CaseScott Case is the chief information officer at Truist Financial Corporation, the nation’s premier financial services company serving approximately 12 million households. He assumed this position on December 2019, with the closing of the merger of equals between BB&T Corporation and SunTrust Banks, Inc. He is a member of the company’s executive leadership team. Case is responsible for Truist’s organizational unit that provides the company’s overall technology, operations and information-related services.

Case has 25 years of experience in financial services leading transformational change and delivering innovative solutions. He initially joined Truist predecessor SunTrust in April 2015, serving as chief technology officer for the company’s consumer segment. In this role, he drove the delivery of technology solutions supporting products and services for consumer lending, mortgage, retail banking and private wealth management. In October 2017, Case became chief information officer for Ciox Health, then rejoined SunTrust as chief Information officer in February 2018.

Prior to SunTrust, Case served in senior technology executive positions with Bank of America for 15 years, including head of technology for Europe and Asia credit card services. Case is a member of the board of directors for TechBridge, an Atlanta-based nonprofit that works with nonprofits on the frontline of breaking the cycle of generational poverty. Case holds a bachelor’s degree in management science and marketing from the State University of New York at Geneseo and a Master of Business Administration in finance from UNC Charlotte’s Belk College of Business.
