In your opinion, what are the three best things about UNC Charlotte? 
- The best thing about UNC Charlotte is that it is located in Charlotte, where there are so many entertaining things to do.
- UNC Charlotte is so diverse, so you are able to make a unique group of friends.
- I love all of the speakers that come to campus. I always leave the programs feeling inspired.

Where is your favorite place on campus?
My favorite place on campus is the bay window on the 10th floor of the library. There is a gorgeous view of campus.

What is your favorite Charlotte restaurant?
My favorite restaurant is Monterrey Mexican Restaurant.

What is your favorite class that you have taken and why?
My favorite class that I have taken is Business Law. The class was so informative about how laws are applied in a court of law. My professor encouraged me to learn more about the legal system; I now know more about my rights in a business scenario.

Tell us three random things about yourself.
- I love to dance and go to dance performances.
- My favorite genre of movies is romantic comedy.
- I also enjoy writing poetry.

Natalia Jenkins pursued a double major in Management Information Systems and Spanish. She was also Women in Business student ambassador.
What majors did you pursue and why?

I double majored in Management Information Systems (MIS) and Spanish. I chose to study MIS because I have great analytical skills and I aspire to become an analyst for a large company. 

Why did you choose the Belk College of Business/UNC Charlotte?

I chose Belk College of Business because of its prestigious business program along with the vast amount of opportunities available in Charlotte and surrounding areas. 

What activities are you involved in when not working/studying?

I was an ambassador in the Women in Business Initiative. I served as the North Carolina's Youth and College Division NAACP Political Action Chair. I also joined the Association for Information Systems.

What was the best part of your academic experience?

The best part of my academic experience was studying abroad. I spent 10 weeks in Salamanca, Spain. I learned so much about Spanish culture, business practices, and how to be adaptable in new environments. It was an amazing experience, one that I will never forget. 

Why were you involved with the Women in Business Initiative? Why is it important to you?

I was involved in the Women in Business (WIB) initiative because I wanted to meet and connect with more female business students. I also wanted to learn from female business leaders; I know that there are barriers that I must overcome in the business world. By joining this initiative, I learned the tools that will assist me in successfully navigating how to be the most effective leader.  My network has grown because I have met so many wonderful individuals. WIB is important to me because it encourages you to accept your strengths and be confident in your ability to lead others. 

How would you describe the Belk College of Business to someone who is thinking about applying?

The Belk College of Business challenges you to apply yourself. By taking business classes, you learn more about yourself and your learning style. You also have the opportunity to meet like-minded peers. 

If you received a scholarship or financial aid, how did that help you?

Receiving scholarships to study abroad and attend UNC Charlotte made my educational goals more affordable. 

What else would you like to share with us?

I enjoyed learning about different business models and practices. The business world is always changing; I am excited to continue to explore innovative business ideas and practices.
