Five companies led by alumni and advisors of the Belk College were recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal as the "Best Places to Work" for 2008.
They include:
Ameritrust - President and CEO John Owens is a Belk College alumnus.
Greer & Walker - Partner Mike McNamara serves on the advisory board for the Department of Accounting as well as the board of the UNC Charlotte Foundation.
Larson Allen - Partner Greg Johns is a Belk College alumnus.
Crosland - Chairman and CEO Todd Mansfield is a member of the Real Estate Advisory Board and past chair of the Belk College Business Advisory Council.
Grant Thornton - Partners Dave Wedding, a Belk College alumnus,and Michael Baker serve on the Business Advisory Council. Baker currently serves as chair of the BAC.
