Ernst & Young recently hosted its Entrepreneur of the Year program for the Carolinas, and two individuals with ties to the Belk College were honored.
Frank Spencer, president and CEO of Cogdell Spencer Inc., was the winner in the Real Estate and Construction category. Spencer is a member of the advisory board for the Center for Real Estate at UNC Charlotte.
John Cato, chairman, president and CEO of The Cato Corporation, was a finalist in the Retail and Consumer Products category. Cato is a 1973 graduate of UNC Charlotte and a member of the Belk College's business advisory council.
