The Sports Analytics Club is raising money to purchase GPS tracking devices that will help UNC Charlotte athletics teams analyze game statistics and use those statistics to tailor players’ workouts so their bodies are primed to compete come game time. Partnership with the Charlotte Hornets: The UNC Charlotte Sports Analytics Club is partnering with the Charlotte Hornets to raise money to buy GPS tracking devices for the club’s work with University athletic teams. Tickets are available at a discounted rate for the Hornets’ Nov. 17 game against the Philadelphia 76ers, which starts at 7 p.m. in the Spectrum Center. A portion of every ticket sold will benefit the Sports Analytics Club. If the club sells more than 50 tickets, those who purchase tickets will get to attend warmup sessions prior to the game and meet the players.
