As part of a monthly initiative to highlight outstanding research projects at UNC Charlotte, Chancellor Sharon Gaber has selected the Childress Klein Center for Real Estate (CKCRE)’s "State of Housing in Charlotte" report for November.
In an article featured on her LinkedIn page, Chancellor Gaber touched on the impact of the data-driven housing report. She outlines this research’s informative nature and usefulness for Charlotte news outlets and influential policymakers.
"As cities nationwide watch closely the ways Charlotte manages its growth, UNC Charlotte is providing a foundation for smart development," she writes.
The article also debuted a video featuring Yongqiang Chu, director of CKCRE and John Kindbom, president of Canopy Realtor Association. Canopy is one of 10 resource and data partners that support the State of Housing in Charlotte research.
CKCRE officially released the 2020 housing research report immediately following its 2020 State of Charlotte Housing Summit. The virtual event featured a presentation of the report by Chu and was followed by two panel discussions on rental and owner-occupied housing.
