About the Event
Under the direction of Dr. John Connaughton, the North Carolina Economic Forecast has provided invaluable economic data for North Carolina since 1982. The Belk College of Business hosts the quarterly presentation for the business community and the media. Dr. Connaughton is considered one of the top economists in North Carolina. He joined the UNC Charlotte faculty in 1978 and has served as director of the economic forecast since 1981. The forecast also covers national and international economic issues, including employment, energy, trade and government spending.
