While we often think about meetings as being places of drain, meetings done well can actually be places of personal and team gain. The key, leveraging evidence-based practices to make meetings genuinely engaging and inclusive. You will learn what we know about virtual, hybrid, and face-to-face meetings from an evidence-based perspective and gain knowledge and resources on how to effectively lead meetings to promote engagement and inclusion. 

Dr. Steven Rogelberg, a highly decorated and award-winning researcher, speaker, and teacher shares an exciting evidence-based path for organizations, teams, committees, and leaders to realize the true potential of meetings to build genuine inclusion and assure ROI on what is a massive investment of time.  His newest research focusing on maximizing the value of virtual meetings and new approaches to brainstorming will be highlighted. 

Expert:  Dr. Steven G. Rogelberg, an organizational psychologist, holds the title of Chancellor’s Professor at UNC Charlotte for distinguished national, international and interdisciplinary contributions.  He is an award-winning teacher and recipient of the very prestigious Humboldt Award for his research.  His book, “The Surprising Science of Meetings: How You Can Lead Your Team to Peak Performance” (Oxford) was recognized by the Washington Post as the “#1 Leadership Book to Watch for” and by the Business Insider as “The Top 14 Books everyone will be reading”.  He and the book were also featured on CBS This Morning, Freakonomics, HBR, WSJ, BBC World to name a few.

Join us for a four-part series facilitated by eight UNC Charlotte faculty with expertise in ethics, emotions, inclusion, gender and race, family and work dynamics and social media analysis.

The in-person series is complimentary, though advance registration is required.
