Reema Nayyar, Master of Accountancy program
Becoming a Top Candidate
The Masters in Accountancy degree at UNC Charlotte has been excellent preparation for the job market. The program has provided me with the essential technical skills that are necessary to be successful in the accounting industry.
Faculty and Friends
As a graduate from the Bachelor’s in Accounting and Finance program in the Belk College of Business, I got a glimpse early on of just how invested the faculty are in their students’ successes. Along with the faculty, I have made life-long friendships that I’ve continued throughout the program. The abundance of resources the university is able to provide to ensure success is simply refreshing.
Current and Post-Graduation Work
Currently, I serve as a graduate assistant to the accounting department. I have a full-time job lined up to work as an external auditor for PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP upon graduation.
When I’m Not in Class
Through my work as a graduate assistant, I am able to serve as a tutor to the undergraduate accounting students. This position allows me to serve as a mentor to many of those students and provide them with insight from someone who was recently in their shoes. In my spare time, I enjoy traveling, spending time with family and friends, and catching up on Netflix!
Students of the Same Caliber
The best part of my academic experience has been the individuals I have met. Throughout the course of the MACC program, it has been uplifting to discover the common interests and dedication I share with my classmates.
Stepping Stone to a Successful Career
