Dr. Denis Arnold, the Surtman Distinguished Scholar in Business Ethics, is serving as program chair for the 31st annual meeting of the Society of Business Ethics, the primary professional organization for academic business-ethics scholars in North America.
One of the featured speakers at the meeting, taking place Aug. 11-14 in San Antonio, will be Anthony M. Garcia. President and CEO of Charlotte-based TIAA-CREF Life Insurance Company, Mr. Garcia's lecture is entitled "The Power of Doing the Right Thing."
The Belk College of Business is a sponsor of several conference sessions, including the reception following Mr. Garcia's speech and the Emerging Scholars sessions, which showcase the research of doctoral students working in business ethics.
