Brian Marley, chief financial officer and executive vice president of Belk Inc., and Janet Stoner, finance director for the Town of Huntersville, were among the recipients of the Charlotte Business Journal's CFO of the Year Award, announced at a luncheon Aug. 18.
Mr. Marley, who recently joined the Board of Advisors for the Belk College of Business, was the winner in the Large Private Company category. Ms. Stoner, a 1980 graduate with a B.S. in Accounting, was the winner in the Government category.
The two other finalists in the Government category are also Belk College accounting graduates: Leigh Anne Mulligan '90, Town of Oakboro; and Melissa Wike '99, Iredell-Stateville Schools.
