UNC Charlotte economist John Connaughton will be making the rounds in local media to discuss the current turbulence in the U.S. economy.
Dr. Connaughton will be featured twice in May on"Charlotte Talks," a public-interest radio program which airs on WFAE(90.7 FM) at 9:00 AM and 9:00 PMOn Wednesday, May 14, the show will discuss "fact vs. fiction" regarding the economy. On Thursday, May 22,the show will focus onrecession and whether the economyreally is in one. Dr. Connaughton also will be featured in WFAE's special feature, "Faces of Charlotte's Economy," which will air at 6:35 and 8:35 AM daily from May 14 to 23.
Additionally, Dr. Connaughtonwill also be a guest on "Charlotte Now with Mike Collins"onSunday, May 18. The program airs on WJZY-TV (cable channel 10 on Time Warner Cable in Charlotte)at 10:35 PM
Dr. Connaughton is director of the UNC Charlotte Economic Forecast for North Carolina and is highly regarded as an expert on regional economics.
