Belk College to sponsor TEDxCharlotte event Sept. 24

The Belk College of Business will be the exclusivesponsor of the TEDxCharlotte event onSeptember 24, 2010.

Themed “Big Ideas,” TEDxCharlotte aims to bring people together to connect and share how they are actively bringing about positive change and innovation in Charlotte and surrounding communities.

TEDxCharlotte founder Candice Langston said, “Dean Joe Mazzola’s and the Belk College of Business’s forward-thinking approach to education, dedication to innovation and building partnerships makes it a perfect partner for TEDxCharlotte.”

TEDxCharlotte will feature 19 speakers from a variety of areas including technology, design, entertainment, education, art, architecture, business, environmental issues, science, food and sustainability and more. In addition to the lineup of speakers, TEDxCharlotte will present a dynamic program of entertainment and presentations that enhance the experience throughout the day.

While tickets to the event are already sold out, plans are underway to create viewing stations on campus and at UNC Charlotte Uptown for those who are unable to attend the event in person. Information will be available on the Belk College website in September.
