Carolina Pad CEO to discuss business, personal transformation Sept. 29

Thursday, June 21, 2012

The Belk College of Business at UNC Charlotte welcomes Clay Presley, president and CEO of Carolina Pad, who will speak to graduate students and invited guests on Tuesday, Sept. 29.

The event will take place from 6:00 to 9:00 PM at the Westin Hotel, 601 S. College Street.

Presley, who took over as CEO in 2000, is largely credited with reinventing the Charlotte-based company, transforming it from a traditional paper manufacturer into one of the nation’s top-selling makers of designer and fashion notebooks.
Presley's accomplishments are featured in the new book "The Catalyst: How You Can Become an Extraordinary Growth Leader” (Random House).

Additionally, Presley was a passenger last January on US Airways flight 1549, which made an emergency landing in the Hudson River near New York City. Presley also will share the lessons he has learned from surviving the crash.

While this event is primarily for graduate students in the Belk College of Business and invited guests, a limited number of seats are available for the general public. There is no charge to attend, but advanced RSVPs are required by email to belkgradevents@uncc.edu.
