Connaughton shares stage with Bank of America's new CEO at economic forum

Dr. John Connaughton, professor of economics in the Belk College and director of the UNC Charlotte Economic Forecast for North Carolina, was a keynote speaker at the North Carolina Economic Forecast Forum, held Jan. 4 in Raleigh. More than 1,000 business executives and state leaders were in attendance.

Dr. Connaughton shared his outlook for the North Carolina economy, focusing on employment as the key to the recovery.

Among the other speakers at the conference were Brian Moynihan, the newly-appointed CEO of Bank of America Corp., and Elizabeth Duke, a governor of the Federal Reserve Bank.
