MBA students visit Argentina on study tour

A group of 22 Belk College M.B.A. students visited Argentina recently as part of the M.B.A. Program's annual international study tour course. Dr. Jim Nebus, assistant professor of management, was the faculty leader for the tour.

The course was centered around an eight-day trip to Buenos Aires, wherethe studentsvisited and met with leaders fromTelefonica (a broadband and telecommunications provider), Terminal Zarate (a container and car shipping port), Galileo (a domestic natural gas company), and Norton (Argentine wine producer). The group also heardlectures from a commerce officer at the U.S. Embasssy and the lead economist from the Argentine central bank.

Cultural activities included individual tango lessons and a tango show, as well as a day trip to an Argentine estancia, a country ranch in the Pampas region.
