In an effort to reach out to alumni affected by the current economic crisis, UNC Charlotte is planning a career-transition conference Saturday, Nov. 15 at the Harris Alumni Center on campus.

The conference, which will run from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM, is open to all UNC Charlotte alumni and their spouses/partners.

Keynote speakers will address topics including the state of the regional economy, envisioning change as an opportunity for personal transformation, and UNC Charlotte resources for alumni. Attendees also may participate in roundtable discussions on topics including personal finances, resume writing, networking, entrepreneurship, retooling skills and re-entering the workforce.

There is no charge to attend, but reservations are required by Nov. 7 at www.belkcollege.charlotte.edu/AlumniConference.

The conference is being organized by the Office of Alumni Affairs, University Career Center and the Belk College of Business.
