UNC Charlotte economist John Connaughton will present his quarterly forecast for the North Carolina economy at a luncheon and press conference Tuesday, September 11 at UNC Charlotte Center City (320 E. 9th Street). Connaughton's presentation begins at noon in the Auditorium on the 2nd floor.
Connaughton, the Babson Capital professor of financial economics in the Belk College of Business, is a highly-regarded expert on regional economics and has closely monitored the N.C. economy for 30 years. His quarterly report, sponsored by Babson Capital Management, addresses areas of optimism and concern among the state's economic sectors, considers national and global factors affecting the state economy and forecasts future performance and job growth.
The forecast presentation is free and open to the public, but seating is limited and advanced reservations are required. RSVPs will be accepted via the Belk College’s event registration system through Thursday, September 6. Box lunches will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Atrium. Parking will be provided for those who register in advance at the 707 North Brevard Street surface lot.
