Dr. Sunil Erevelles, associate professor and chair of the Department of Marketing in the Belk College, has been named a finalist for UNC Charlotte's highest teaching honor, the Bank of America Teaching Award.
Dr. Erevelles joined the Belk College in 2002 and was appointed department chair in 2011. He holds a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University. With research interests in marketing strategy, consumer behavior, brand management and Internet marketing, Dr. Erevelles is widely published in academic journals and frequently speaks to industry groups and business leaders. He is a past recipient of the Belk College Excellence in Teaching Award.
The Bank of America Award will be presented at the annual awards reception on Friday, Oct. 19.
