UNC Charlotte has earned the Military Friendly Schools Bronze Award

UNC Charlotte has earned a 2020-21 Military Friendly Schools Bronze Award for its commitment to military service members, veterans and their dependents.

The University has over 1,100 veteran students, faculty and staff on campus, according to the Student Veterans Office (SVO). This includes a large number who are pursuing graduate and undergraduate programs through the Belk College of Business.

Benefits for military veterans include:

  • GMAT waiver for business graduate programs, including Belk College's MBA program, the no. 1 part-time MBA among North Carolina public universities.

  • GI Bill – applicable toward business graduate programs.

  • The Commander F.M. (Mike) Reynolds Veterans Scholarship.

Institutions earning the Military Friendly Schools designation were evaluated using public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey completed by the school. Student survey data also was taken into consideration for the designation. More than 1,000 schools participated in the 2020-21 survey.

The list will be published in the May issue of G.I. Jobs magazine and can be found at www.militaryfriendly.com.

Methodology, criteria, and weightings were determined by VIQTORY with input from the Military Friendly Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community.
