Fourteen alumni leaders have been elected to join the Belk College of Business Alumni Council. The new members will serve a three-year term starting July 1, and continuing through June 30, 2024.
The Alumni Council is an all-volunteer leadership board that advises the Belk College on alumni engagement programs, serves as hosts for events and represents the College in the community and in their place of work. The board aims to strengthen the relationship between alumni, the business community and the college

Sofia Ali ‘19, ‘20 MS in Management, of Cary. Ali is a technical consulting engineer for Cisco.

Jamie Best ‘87 Accounting, of Huntersville. Best is the owner of Best Consulting Inc.

Rose Brown ‘17 Management, Psychology, of Kings Mountain. Brown is a Ph.D. candidate in organizational behavior at UNC Chapel Hill’s Kenan-Flagler Business School.

Daniel Cockerill ‘20 Finance, of Fuquay-Varina. Cockerill is completing his master’s in finance at Vanderbilt University as well as an internship in investment banking at La Honda Advisors.

Matthew Colwell ‘16 Finance, of Raleigh. Colwell is a workplace planning consultant at Fidelity Investments.

Chemere Davis ‘14 MBA, of Pineville. Davis is the senior business operations program manager at Microsoft.

Kim Haynes ‘98 Accounting, Management Information Systems, of Lewisville. Haynes is the senior director of finance and data analytics-supply chain at Novant Health.

Kapil Jagtiani ‘13 MBA, of Fort Mill. Jagtiani is a senior vice president and head of enterprise complaints data governance, controls, operational reporting and analytics at Wells Fargo.

Erica Redinbo ‘16 Marketing, ‘19 MBA, of Indian Land, South Carolina. Redinbo is a digital media consultant for Brighthouse Financial.

Dave Stroud ‘14 MBA, of Monroe. Stroud is the senior digital marketing manager at Foodbuy USA.
The Alumni Council membership totals 67 this year and includes representatives from four states and 49 companies. The new members were selected by a nominating committee and approved by the Belk College Alumni Council.
